Skills and Experience

  • I've been advocating for shark and ocean conservation for over 7 years. As a member of the International Cooperation Team, I take part in international conferences and work with international organizations to promote shark conservation. I find it particularly exciting to work with enthusiastic people around the world.

  • In my master's thesis, I explored the impacts of the seafood supply chain on sharks—an issue that remains very close to my heart. It highlights the close links between economic and ecological factors and underscores the importance of raising awareness about these connections.

  • I love traveling the world, sharing my enthusiasm for sharks with others, and, whenever possible, inspiring children—like during a school presentation in Panama—and educating as many people as I can about the importance of sharks and their role in the ecosystem. As a rescue diver, my goal is to encounter as many sharks as possible in their natural environment.

Why I advocate for shark conservation

Our oceans provide every second breath we take. Sharks, as top predators, play a vital role in maintaining the balance and health of marine ecosystems. I am deeply committed to educating people about their importance and breaking down the misconceptions of sharks as monsters. We cannot lose them.

My favorite quote

No ocean, no life. No blue, no green. No ocean, no us.

— Sylvia Earle
