I have been diving for more than 25 years and am therefore interested in the protection of the oceans and their inhabitants. Studies from recent years have pointed out the special role of large predators for the protection of all ecosystems. So without sharks, the marine ecosystem cannot survive either.

Do you have any special skills, experiences or adventures?

• Because of my experience as a diver, I have the privilege to dive with sharks sometimes. It is an unforgettable experience every time.
• As a former employee of the European Union, I have experience in cooperating with different EU institutions, e.g. the EU Parliament.
