The protection of sharks is inherently linked to the protection of the oceans. We need a healthy marine ecosystem, otherwise the basis of all our lives is threatened. Sharks play a very special role in this. As a kind of " health police of the ocean" they are indispensable for a stable productive marine ecosystem.

Do you have any special skills, experiences or expertise?

• Diver since 1983 with various shark encounters. (among others Cuba, Maldives, Egypt, Indonesia, Bahamas and Kenya)
• Two bio-diving seminars conducted by the Institute of Marine Biology (IFMB) in the Baltic Sea under the direction of Dr. Claus Valentin
