I dived for the first time when I was 12 and have been fascinated by the underwater world ever since. Research and documentaries about sharks, marine ecosystems, plastic pollution and more have increased the fascination, but also the despair, exponentially. Standing idly by has never been my thing. That's why I decided to do something about it and join SHARKPROJECT.

Do you have any special skills, experiences or lessons learned?

• A PADI Divemaster with a desire to give others a piece of my fascination.
• With a technical degree in my background, I can't exactly compete with marine biologists. Learning more about their work is therefore very enriching. To my delight, however, I could see that geoinformation systems or remote sensing can also play an important role here.
• Unfortunately, I still lack personal experience with sharks. But that doesn't stop me from campaigning for them!
